I started working in animation back in February of 1990, where I joined Sullivan Bluth Studios (later renamed to Don Bluth Animation Studios) as a Special Effects Artist. Shortly afterwards I moved to the Layout department where I spent the rest of my time in the Studio before it closed in October of 1995. |
|
During my time at Don Bluth Animation Studios, I acquired a range of styles and design disciplines in the Special Effects and Layout departments. I made good use of the talent within the studio by learning the art of background painting, character and 3D animation. |

When Don Bluth Studios closed their doors for good, I moved into the computer animation industry. This was a fitting move for me, not only because of the artistic experience I amassed at the studio, but also because of the extensive knowledge of computers and computer programming I had as a teenager. I have never looked back since! |

I have spent the last 10 years working at 3D animation in commercials, films and other projects. I have largely been responsible for every aspect of 3D that I have worked on, ranging from project supervisor, through to final grading. |

In September '04, I completed a 15 minute short film called Prey Alone, which we finished in 3 months. It was written and directed by Stephen St. Leger and James Mather. It was entirely shot green-screen with 3D computer animation and graphics in all of the backgrounds. This was by far and away the most gruelling project I have ever worked on. |

I am currently working in Dublin at Windmill Lane Studios. |
